the fact women are viewed as being more sexy at 15 than 40 is the creepiest thing in the world

when i was 12 years old my health teacher told us all that he thought girls were the most beautiful at age 14-15 and we would never be that beautiful again for the rest of our lives
back then it scared me that i wouldnt stay pretty
once i got older it scared me that he found no shame in saying that, and neither do countless other men

    Finally working in the studio!

So this week we started working, and of course I made a rabbit straight away.  I’m amazed by how quickly I’m still able to work – I haven’t worked on my ceramics practice since I graduated in July ’13.  I started Monday and finished the rabbit on Wednesday morning!  He isn’t that big, but the shape is different from the others I made in my final year of university, so there were a few things I had to take in to account which I didn’t have to before.  I’ve also put more work in to the rabbit paws, which to begin with I found quite tricky.  He is a prototype, I guess, of a larger rabbit I plan to exhibit in my Swansea exhibition.

I’ve started another one, another ‘test’ piece – smaller than the planned exhibition piece.  This one isn’t going as smoothly as the first so maybe I had beginners luck!!!!!!!! Ah it’s OK, I’ll keep at it, it will all work out in the end!  Still cute even though he only has one eyebrow and no back!!

    First rabbit since University!
